During the 1994-95 hockey season, 26 teams went head-to-head to determine who was the best in the National Hockey League. During a shortened hockey season, with only 48 games played, the New Jersey Devils went up against the Detroit Red Wings. The Devils won the Stanley Cup for the first time after defeating the Red Wings in a four-game sweep.
The 1999-2000 season brought great excitement and fun to the sport of hockey. It it's 83rd season, the NHL featured 28 teams each playing 82 games. The New Jersey Devils earned a well-deserved spot in the championship round. They defeated the Dallas Stars for their second Stanely Cup title.
Two seasons later during the 2002-03 season, the New Jersey Devils made it to the Championship round once more to bring a home third title. In a close race to the top, the Devils beat the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim four games to three to earn their third Stanely Cup trophy.
